Hi there.

It's that time of the month again: I'm unable to recall the title of a movie I want to watch.

It's about a town ( or area ) which has been closed down because the people there were infected with something that made them extremely violent. They locked everyone there up. But later on after no-one has been there for a few years, they need to return there to find a medicine or a cure for something. So some people enter there and try to get it.

That's all I can remember from the trailer. It's quite recent I believe. So what's the title?

Doomsday comes to mind off the top since it is a relatively new release. Possibly 28 days/weeks later.

Man, that describes the vast majority of post-apoc movies recently. If I had to guess:

Resident Evil Apocalypse

I Am Legend

28 Days Later

28 Weeks Later

Whatever happened to just good ol' fashion nuclear war? Instead of virus induced zombies I want radiated mutants!

I agree with komma, sounds like Doomsday, which came out earlier this year.

"28 days later"
and its sequence
"28 weeks later"

People of London (I think) are affected by a rage virus etc.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe that the area is closed off and absolutely no outsiders (civilians, government, no one) go in for a few years, which is what the OP said.

I'm honestly 99.9% sure it's Doomsday.

hmm coming back to this thread....I'm also thinking Land of the Dead is very similar to what you described....but I still bet my bottom dollar on Doomsday.

Doomsday, though they didn't lock them up because they were extremely violent. They became violent because they were locked up.

28 Weeks Later, while similar, doesn't quite fit in with Aera's description. Can't wait for 28 Months Later to come out though.
